Please post to alfs-discuss at linuxfromscratch.org not lfs-discuss.

The ALFS enviroment on the cd already has expat, XML-Parser,
XML-Twig, etc. installed. ALFS should just run. To test that

cd /ALFS/backend

alfs_app should report it's usage back to you. Please post
problems to alfs-discuss.
