A possible direction for nALFS

I was thinking this weekend about where nALFS may want to go.
Instead of having profiles spread all over the net, perhaps they could be placed on a server that nALFS could query. The user could then select a particular profile, it would be downloaded and executed to install a particular package. Also, nALFS could keep a database of packages that it has installed (in xml maybe) and the server could specify which files are associated with that package and delete them as part of the package uninstall.
Since nALFS already works through xml, perhaps the server could be setup as a web service?
Any thoughts?
