Your kernel must have support for UNIX domain sockets for nALFS to work,
which is on by default in all standard kernel configurations. Only those
trying to built _very_ small kernels would turn this feature off, as it
saves very little memory.
I will enter a Bugzilla entry to make nALFS check for this and produce a
more useful error message.
