You didn't get any error about rand.h missing?

gcc -g -O2 -I/usr/src/bind-9.1.0 -I. -I/usr/src/bind-9.1.0/lib/dns/include
-I../../lib/dns/include -I../../lib/dns/sec/dst/include -I/usr/src/bind-9.1.
0/lib/isc/include -I../../lib/isc -I../../lib/isc/include -I../../lib/isc/un
ix/include -I../../lib/isc/pthreads/include -D_REENTRANT -W -Wall -Wmiss
ing-prototypes -Wcast-qual -Wwrite-strings -c sec/dst/dst_api.c
sec/dst/dst_api.c:51: openssl/rand.h: No such file or directory

bash-2.04#

maybe i should add a -I flag to point it to the file (which is located not
in openssl/ but in openssl/include/openssl.. or something.(

oh, and something interesting to point out... I just downloaded 8.2.3 T9B to
give that a go.. and it builds fine... go figure...
