I have, it's pretty easy, busybox's web site has some pretty good docs on
it.
 Not very useful by itself though.  It does make for a good rescue floppy
setup though.

No need for login (getty, which busybox also includes btw), just run a shell
as init (or a customized script to setup variables or whatever, then a
shell).  There was an interesting post on this a while ago, init is a class
of programs, just about anything can be used as init.
