i've download the libstdc++ for the fourth time and now the java binary
works

but when trying to compile the sources i run into the following troubles:

1.

if [ -f /usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/ControlPanel.html ];
then \
        /bin/cp
/usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/ControlPanel.html
/usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/j2re-image
/.; \
fi
/bin/cp
/java/re/javaws/1.0.1_02/archive/fcs/bundles/javaws-1_0_1_02-linux-int.zip
/usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/j2re-
image
/bin/cp: cannot stat
`/java/re/javaws/1.0.1_02/archive/fcs/bundles/javaws-1_0_1_02-linux-int.zip'
: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [image-jre] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/blfs/java/j2se/make'
make: *** [j2se-build] Error 2

the "/java/re/javaws/1.0.1_02/archive/fcs/bundles/" path is defined in the
j2se/make/common/Defs-linux.gmk file
as _JAVAWS_PATH variable

i solved this one by creating the directory and copying the file to it

2.

/bin/cat common/rpm-jre.spec >>
/usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/tmp/jre-rpm.spec
/bin/mkdir /usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/i386
/bin/rpm -bb --rmsource --target i386-Sun-Linux
/usr/src/blfs/java/control/build/linux-i386/tmp/jre-rpm.spec
make[1]: /bin/rpm: Command not found
make[1]: *** [bundle-jre] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/blfs/java/j2se/make'
make: *** [j2se-build] Error 2
[root at lfs make]#

i don't really know why i need rpm to build the sources ???

oen thing, which comes to my mind is that Tushar says in his hint:

"The build also looks for a Redhat Release 6.1. Though the error is not show
stopping, if you want you can make a file for the duration of the build.
This is
entirely optional, I don't create the file.
echo "Red Hat Linux release 6.1 (LFS)" > /etc/redhat-release"

i did that - maybe i should try it again without this file created ???

thanx for your answers again

Georg
