Java From Scratch: patch problem

Hi all,

I am trying to apply the gcc3-patch (oo1.0-gcc3.1-jdk1.4.patch)
-> /opt/java/source/patch -Np1 -i oo1.0-gcc3.1-jdk1.4.patch

but the patch cannot find the files to patch.

#can't find file to patch at input line 4
#Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
#The text leading up to this was:
#--------------------------
#|diff -ur
oo_1.0_src/XmlSearch/src/com/sun/xmlsearch/util/ExtensibleURLStreamHandlerFa
ctory.java
#oo1.0-gcc3.1-jdk1.4/XmlSearch/src/com/sun/xmlsearch/util/ExtensibleURLStrea
mHandlerFactory.java
#|---
oo_1.0_src/XmlSearch/src/com/sun/xmlsearch/util/ExtensibleURLStreamHandlerFa

#--------------------------
#File to patch:
#Skip this patch? [y]
#Skipping patch.
#1 out of 1 hunk ignored
(and goes on similarely)

I have created a directory /opt/java/source and I unzipped the files in
there and put the patch file in the same directory accordingly to the
Tushar Teredesai's hint. Should the patch be someplace else?

Is oo1.0-gcc3.1-jdk1.4.patch and j2sdk.patch (the hint's refering to) the
same file?

PS.1 Could it possible affect the java installation the fact I have
gcc-3.0.3 installed and not gcc-3.1 ?
PS.2 Can I install Mozilla *after* the java and j2sdk-mozilla-headers
installation?

A million thanks in advance
