Probably a problem with X not detecting the route from your graphic card 
to your LCD. Can you post /var/log/XFree86.0.log and 
/etc/X11/XF86Config (compressed please!)? Also, you can try the xpert 
list (xpert at XFree86.Org) which provides good support for XFree86 issues 
if this list isn't helpfull enough.
