I have read that to remotely wake a PC I need to soft-power it off, ie.
so that the network card still gets power afterwards. Then you need to
send "the magic packet", eg. using ether-wake
(www.scyld.com/wakeonlan.html) and the card's MAC. However, the question
is: how exactly do I go about soft-powering off? Just delete the
K80network symlink from /etc/rc.d/init.d/rc.0.d? Anything else? Thanks
for any suggestions!

Kind regards,
David Ciecierski
