Hmm... I'm not sure, but based on what *I'd* like to configure in
Links, I think he means what program is started when you do "New
window" in X11. Normally it starts an xterm, but all my other windows
are gnome-terminals (or rxvts, or wterms, aterms, eterms, or
what-have-you).
