Making these lists default to reply to owner?

I kinda see this as icky. There is a good chance that something
important about a patch or some good information will not make it into
the archives to be found again another day. But Kevin's point also has
merit, if were not supposed to be discussing patches here, then it's
probably a good idea. I just don't like the idea of discussions that
tend to be usefull, not being archived.
