This makes it no better than Simone Gotti's "isapnp.rc" script + 
/etc/sysconfig/modules. I have dropped this script, but our mails crossed.

And I really prefer Simone Gotti's "isapnp.rc" script, because it offers 
blackilsting abilities and (unlike "pnp.rc") can detect devices with 
MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(pnp_card,...), not just 
MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(pnp,...). Just grep for those signatures in the 
kernel source and see that the "pnp.rc" script really detects nothing.
